Learn about AUCD's new ADA International Fellowship Program, a new professional exchange initiative that promotes inclusive education. 20 competitively selected Fellows from Kenya, Tanzania, Brazil and Peru will study U.S. disability policy and best practices for inclusive education in the U.S. for a four-week period in 2017 (preferably at an AUCD member Center or Program). Host site members will also have an opportunity to travel overseas to help a Fellow implement an inclusive education project in his/her home country. Dawn Rudolph, MSEd leads AUCD's Technical Assistance team in providing support to the national network of University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs) and the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Other Disabilities (LEND) programs, and leveraging the expertise of the UCEDD network to inform national efforts impacting people with disabilities. She provides technical assistance on UCEDD & LEND grant administration, operations, impact, leadership and succession planning, and emerging trends in the disability field.
Siddarth Nagaraj, MALD serves as a Program Specialist at AUCD. He helps design and implement the ADA International Fellowship Program, an international education exchange initiative that promotes global inclusive education, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. He also conducts legislative research and contributes to AUCD's work for the National Coordinating Center Postsecondary Education Policy Project, which seeks to make information about higher education opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities more accessible online.
