Call for Nominations

The Council on Research & Evaluation (CORE) is currently seeking nominations for its Council Officers of Council Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary. Nominations will be accepted until April 30, 2009. All Council members are eligible to serve as an officer. Nominations of other committee members and self-nominations are possible. The term of office begins this fall (2009), and will be for three years. See below for a list of duties for each of the three Offices.

Council Chair

The Council Chair represents CORE on the AUCD Board of Directors. The Council Chair duties include:

Promote the mission and purpose of the Council
Represent the Council on the AUCD Board of Directors (attend 3 AUCD Board meetings annually - one of which is in conjunction with the AUCD Annual Meeting)
Report to the AUCD Board the activities and recommendations of the Council
Report to the Council the business of the AUCD Board of Directors
Develop agenda and conduct all meetings of the Council
Delegate duties necessary to ensure that all functions of the Council are met

Vice Chair

The Vice Chair duties include:

Assist in planning the Council's program for meetings
Promote the mission and purpose of the Council in collaboration with the Chair
Develop educational and outreach activities (e.g. webinar and workshop) to address areas of need identified by CORE members in conjunction with Chair
Perform other duties as designated by the Chair (this may involve attending an AUCD Board meeting in the event that the Chair is unable to attend)
