NTDC Presents: Recruiting and Supporting Diverse Trainees

Friday, March 08, 2024
3:00 - 4:30 PM ET
Location: Zoom

Webinar Description

NTDC hosted an interactive discussion on recruiting and supporting diverse trainees within your training programs. The panel highlighted three training programs in the AUCD Network that have experience recruiting and supporting diverse trainees, including trainees across states, trainees utilizing distance learning, trainees with lived experience, and finally, second-year trainees.  Participants were encouraged to share their program's recruitment strategies, successes, and challenges.

At the end of this discussion, participants are able to:

  • identify successful strategies for recruitment of diverse trainees;
  • identify best practices for supporting trainees throughout their training program and beyond; and
  • brainstorm solutions to challenges in recruiting diverse trainees.

This is an event sponsored by AUCD's National Training Directors Council and the Interdisciplinary Technical Assistance Center (ITAC) on Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
