Wednesday, May 4, 2022

Hello, Emerging Leaders Community!

We are excited to announce that recruitment for the 2022 AUCD Emerging Leaders Map is now open! Our team is looking for each Program or Center (LEND, UCEDD, IDDRC, or DBP) to nominate Emerging Leaders, current or past, to be on this year’s AUCD Emerging Leaders Map. We hope to showcase the many ways Emerging Leaders drive change in their states and territories and facilitate dialogue and collaboration between AUCD members, former and current trainees, and Centers and Programs.

The 2022 AUCD Emerging Leaders Map shows where our emerging leaders live. You can use this map to connect with emerging leaders near you. Our theme for this year is “Supporting Resiliency and Self-Determination for All." Resiliency means being able to keep going after hard or challenging things happen. Another word for resiliency is “strength.” Self-determination means choosing your path or goals in life. We all want to choose something in our lives that makes us happy or helps us reach our goals. Self-determination is when you can make those choices for yourself.

On the AUCD Emerging Leaders map, you can see AUCD Emerging Leaders. Emerging Leaders are current and former trainees of LENDs, DBPs, UCEDDs, and IDDRCs. Each emerging leader will also have their contact information on the map so you can connect with them.
