Closing Plenary on Trauma & IDD

Jason Fogler & Amy Szarkowski (LEND program at Boston Children's Hospital) gave the closing plenary at the Annual Conference of the Massachusetts Psychological Association. Their talk was entitled, “Supporting Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities: Addressing Trauma and Honoring Lived Experiences.” (Care for people with IDD is a topic of particular interest to the MPA’s outgoing president Dorian Crawford, PsyD; and the topic is especially timely in light of the recent October 19 New York Times article, “These Doctors Admit they Don’t Want Patients with Disabilities”).
