Autism Policy Case Discussions: Case Roots for Small Group Discussions from CAAI Meeting

The transcribed notes from the meeting might guide a LEND faculty or staff member in leading a policy case discussion with their trainees. Discussions might be held around these case studies, and additional ideas might be generated. The linked notes from the 2013 meeting might be given to trainees after they have finished brainstorming, with a resulting discussion of how their ideas compared to the ones on paper. Possibilities for your state or program could be discussed.

Attached is a document containing the "case roots" of the 2013 meeting's small group discussions for use as an index to the cases and accompanying notes which are posted on the CAAI meeting page. The case roots are also located under the CAAI Discussion Notes as "Discussion Groups Overview."  This document will allow an individual or facilitator to see all of the cases at a glance. The resulting notes from the meeting's small group sessions are linked individually with their corresponding case.
