Product Description:
Tent cards that highlight the individuals featured in the book of stories. Seven-year old Ivey thrives in the love and security of her family and community in Rome, Georgia. At age seventeen, Cornorris lives with his family in Macon; he and his citizen advocate are charting his future through JROTC to higher education in computer navigation. Ashley, aged twenty-two and living in her own home in Milledgeville for the first time, relishes family gatherings and imagines a future working in a restaurant. When young people feel a sense of belonging with the people with whom they live, in the dwelling place called home, their capacity to thrive and make their unique human contribution to our world is magnified. Children who are vulnerable due to disability, and their families, need easy access to well informed structures of services and caregivers.
