Product Description:

The Leadership Academy is designed to develop and enhance knowledge and skills for leadership that is directed toward change within the social-cultural contexts of the I/DD network. The Academy is intended to support individuals currently or interested in assuming leadership to advance and sustain cultural diversity and cultural and linguistic competence (CLC) within their respective settings. The Academy is an intensive course of study comprised of 3 months of preparatory activities and a 4-day learning experience onsite in Santa Fe,NM. Participants are guided through an array of learning opportunities using multiple learning styles, including but not limited to: 1) peer group discussions and structured forums, 2) lecturettes, 3) writing assignments, 4) coaching, 5) experiential exercises, and 6) leadership assessment/inventory.This experience is followed by continuous learning through coaching and mentoring in the home environment for each participant.
