SIG: Disasters, Climate Adaptation & Disability Inclusion

Tuesday, November 5, 2024

11:45 am - 12:30 pm

Meeting Level: MR 3

The goal of the SIG is to network, collaborate, and share resources among SIG members, and to develop strategies for collaborations with local and state emergency and public health preparedness personnel, disability organizations, and other Community Based Organizations (CBO). By collaborating SIG members aim to strengthen inclusive emergency preparedness and response and ensure that people with disabilities have a seat at the table for all phases of the disaster and climate adaptation cycle.

About AUCD SIGs

AUCD Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are made up of individuals that have common topical interest such as emergency preparations, family support, assistive technology, and so on. SIGs, which are open to anyone in the AUCD Network as well as external partners and stakeholders, serve as a mechanism for sharing information, engaging in respectful dialogue, and generating new ideas.
