"The Dream Fund is very important because people with disabilities and families need to speak up for what they need and want, so we all can have good lives. A lot of people don't have the resources to come to Washington, D.C., therefore this fund makes it possible for people to come and advocate." - Liz Weintraub, Senior Advocacy Specialist
The AUCD DREAM Fund is used to send self-advocates to in-person events, such as the Disability Policy Seminar and the AUCD Conference, by covering the costs of registration and travel.
Help AUCD mobilize and lift the voices that matter in our movement by bringing them directly to Washington, DC so that they can be part of important events, testify in front of key Congressional committees, and offer their first-person perspectives to national conversations about the lives of people with disabilities.
When conversations are happening about people with disabilities, their voices need to be heard. Their wisdom and advocacy will help advance issues that will make a difference for many.
