Is WiFi available at the Conference?
AUCD has provided free WIFI access on the ballroom and meeting room level. Free WIFI is also available in the hotel lobby.
Is there a business center where I can print items?
The FedEx Office Print & Ship Center in the Westin Washington, DC, offers virtually everything you need to meet your convention exhibiting needs - from packing and shipping to signage, copying and last-minute office supplies.
Hours of operation: Monday–Friday: 8 AM – 6 PM
Individuals are responsible for their costs incurred in the business center; AUCD does not have free printing services available.
Does AUCD have a lost and found?
All items found during the Conference will be held at the Ballroom level registration desk for a limited time, after which they will be transferred to the hotel's Lost and Found.
What accommodations are available at the Conference and Conference hotel?
AUCD provides CART captioning and ASL for all the plenaries and the Awards Ceremony. For Concurrents, Posters, and other events, AUCD provides ASL interpreters and CART captioning by request. AUCD also accommodates dietary requests. The Conference hotel provides wheelchair accessible rooms by request.
What does it mean to be a fragrance-free event?
AUCD strives to make the Conference a fragrance-free event. For the safety and comfort of those with chemical and environmental sensitivities, please refrain from wearing perfumes and colognes, and from using scented products such as aftershave, hairspray, and lotions.
What is AUCD's Event Code of Conduct?
AUCD and its governing Board of Directors are committed to creating a safe, and welcoming environment that is inclusive and free from discrimination. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and could result in permanent removal from current, and/or any future AUCD events. Learn more about AUCD's Event Code of Conduct.
Will masks be required at the Conference?
No, face masks will not be required at the AUCD Conference, but we encourage you to wear a mask when not actively eating or drinking. Note that AUCD has the right to change the mask policy ahead of Conference based on city mandates and/or due to increasing infection rates.
What is the photography policy at the AUCD Conference?
The AUCD Conference is a public event. Photos and videos of the event, speakers, and attendees will be taken by AUCD staff and employees, attendees, or press. It is possible that your photo could be taken at some point during the event. Photos taken are the property of the individual or organization taking them and may be used by AUCD for purposes such as publicity, illustration, and advertising of the event in print and electronic content. By registering for the Conference, attendees grant AUCD permission and consent use of photos or video taken during the event.

Participation
Will I receive continuing education credits for attending the Conference?
No. Continuing education credits are not offered.
What should I wear at the in person Conference?
Business casual is typical for attendees. We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing in layers.
How do I access the Program materials?
When registering for the AUCD Conference, you will be given the option to request a paper program book. All attendees will have access to a PDF of the program book and the Conference app.

I just want to attend or present at one session; Do I still have to register?
Yes, even if you are only coming to attend or present at one session, you still need to register.
I am a speaker. Do you have a discount for speakers?
No, we have a discount for students, self-advocates, family members, and personal care attendants. Learn more.
Are there daily or partial registration fees?
Yes, there are daily rates available for speakers and/or attendees who wish to attend one day of the Conference.
Do I have to be an AUCD Network member to attend the Conference?
No. We welcome anyone to attend the Conference.
I need an invoice or receipt for my registration. What do I do?
Every registrant receives a confirmation email which includes receipt information. If you are unable to find the email, we can help. Contact [email protected] for assistance.

The AUCD registration desk is located at "Grand Registration" at the base of the escalator on the Ballroom level.

Is the conference livestreamed?
Yes, the main plenaries and Awards Ceremony are livestreamed. If you chose to participate in and are an AUCD Network member, council meetings will also be livestreamed.
Will the sessions be recorded or transmitted live?
