Scott Mullins, LMSW, currently serves as a Transition Specialist at the Institute for Disability Studies (IDS), a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). Scott grew up in Wesson, MS where he graduated from both Wesson High School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Scott recieved his bachelor's and master's degrees in Social Work from USM and graduated as a Phi Alpha Honor Society member. During his time at IDS, Scott has previously assisted in the Project SERACH employment program; mentored young adults with and without disabilities; provided pre-employment and professional development training opportunities through the Transition of Teens to Adult Life (ToTAL) Program and served as program specialist with the TRIAD AmeriCorps national service program. Scott assist with two university student orgranizations, the Special Olympics College (SO) Southern Miss and the STEP UP to Leadership Advisory Council. Scott is passionate about working and making positive changes within the disability community.
