I received my dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry and I have a Master's in Health Services Administration from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I have spent my entire career caring for at risk populations. For the past thirty years, my practice has focused on patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, those with complex medical issues, or have inability to access care. Before coming to the Ohio State University, I was on faculty at Arkansas Children's Hospital, the Medical College at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the Medical School at the University of New Mexico. Prior to my career in academia, I was a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service. During most of those years, I was the hospital dental service chief, academic service chief, academic chair, or clinic director. I chose to come to Ohio State in August 2020 for the opportunity to train the next generation of providers in caring for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and complex medical conditions at the Nisonger Center and College of Dentistry.
