Dr. Brandon Ito is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Director of Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at the Tarjan Center. He completed medical school at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, masters degree in public health from the Harvard University School of Public Health, adult residency training at UC San Francisco, and fellowship in child and adolescent training at New York University. Dr. Ito completed an Area of Distinction in LGBTQ mental health and Clinical Scholars Program in global health at UCSF, as well as the UCLA Medical Education Fellowship and Stanford University Faculty Development in Clinical Teaching Program. His roles include attending supervisor in the UCLA Child & Adult Neurodevelopmental Clinic, behavioral health provider in the UCLA Gender Health Program, Clerkship Chair of Psychiatry and Educator for Excellence in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and is President-Elect of the Southern California Society of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Awards include the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award for humanism in medicine, Department of Psychiatry Faculty Housestaff.
