HEALTH - Ohio Disability and Health Program: FQHC Accessibility Assessment FAQ
Product Description:
Nearly 20% of the population in the United States reports having a disability. Over 97% of persons with disabilities (PWD) live among the general population and seek healthcare from the same providers as people without disabilities. PWD face significant disparities in health status and access to healthcare. In an effort to improve healthcare access to Ohioans with disabilities, the Ohio Disability and Health Program (ODHP), in collaboration with the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers and its partners, is offering free and confidential accessibility assessments to Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) facilities across the state of Ohio. This frequently asked questions (FAQ) addresses some of the questions that healthcare facilities may have in scheduling an assessment and provides contact information for ODHP staff.
