The Latino Civic Engagement Collaborative (LCEC)is a collaborative of executives who lead non-profit organizations that deliver education, physical and mental health, business development, housing, economic development, and social services. The LCEC commissioned UMKC-IHD to conduct an assessment of current conditions, needs, and assets of the Greater Kansas City Latino population. The LCEC accessed funds from these generous supporters to underwrite the project: Adelante Fund, Bank of America, the City Managers Office of Kansas City MO, H&R Block Foundation, the Hall Family Foundation, and the Hispanic Development Fund. Wide dissemination of the Executive Summary will serve as an impetus for community-wide initiatives to improve the quality of life for Latinos.
