The purpose of our group is to assist in the establishment and success of the Nevada Visually Impaired Support Group and expanding attendance at weekly meetings at UNR. This will allow VI folk to establish a peer-support network to emphasize the technological needs of visually impaired individuals and be able to advocate for consideration of their needs as users and creators of services. Attached to this page will be posts regarding Visual Impairment Demographics in Nevada, iOS Accessibility information, iOS Accessibility- Voice Over Feature, Construction on UNR Campus, Service Providers for Visually Impaired, Built Environment Considerations for the Visually Impaired, and a group on campus which aims to aid the visually impaired. The site is a component of work performed by students enrolled in the UNR course CHS360. It seeks disseminate the ideas, approaches and actions undertaken by students as they formulate knowledge through change.
