Product Description:

Customized employment strategies consider the unique aspects of each person such as the persons age, type of disability, functional capacities, disposition, and interaction style while also recognizing contextual factors such as living arrangements, geographical location, support systems, connections, and resources to help facilitate an employment outcome that aligns with the individuals interests and talents while considering conditions that may impact successful, long-term employment. These strategies have proven to be highly effective and particularly useful when applied with persons with complex disabilities. This presentation will provide information on the philosophy and rationale for utilizing CE strategies and descriptions and examples that illustrate the customized employment process. The material will be presented in a manner that considers the needs of vocational rehabilitation counselors as they integrate these strategies into practice.
