Product Description:

This session will provide an overview of key changes as a result of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Much of the discussion will focus on the new requirements for transition, and in particular Pre-Employment Transition Services. In addition, the implications of the new competitive integrated employment definition will be reviewed, along with the new requirements for Vocational Rehabilitation regarding sub-minimum wage under WIOA Section 511. Changes in the supported employment definition, that now includes customized employment will also be discussed. Vocational Rehabilitations new role as a core program of the workforce development system will also be touched and implications of that change, including the impact on data measurement.
