The workplace supervisor, will share her perspective on employee success in the workplace. She will talk about both her journey as a department manager and direct supervisor of an employee who was provided employment consultant supports and workplace accommodations to gain and maintain employment. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn what the workplace needed and how their needs were addressed to support the employees successful performance on the job. A brief video of the Mr. Sims and Ms. Newson actively engage in their work activity at the Museum will broadcast during the presentation. Ms. Newson will also share how an accommodation initially created for Mr. Sims serves to support his co-workers to ensure they complete their work tasks assignments.
