Product Description:
In 2017, Next Chapter Book Club and Jot It Down members had the unique opportunity to work with professional musicians and producers from The Dick & Jane Project. The Dick & Jane Project is a non-profit organization that typically partners middle school students with professional musicians to create radio ready songs. Our project represents the first partnership between Dick & Jane and adults with IDD. In their weekly meetings with Dick & Jane musicians, members of NCBC and JID were inspired to work together, think creatively, and express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. The project culminated in the creation of four original, radio-ready songs with lyrics written entirely by the club members. Topics range from romantic relationships to dealing with bullying.
