A Population Health Approach to Autism Spectrum Disorder
Product Description:
This course will provide students with an overview of the impact that ASD has on individuals, families and communities. We will discuss how families access autism services for diagnosis, ongoing therapies during school-age (K-12), and adult vocational activities and residential placement. We will also discuss important turning points and transitions over the life course and how these may impact the individual and his/her family. Finally, we will also cover opportunities for research and policy to address this growing national public health problem.
