DODD - Technology Project - 2018 Spring Arc Conference - Technology: How it can benefit people with developmental disabilities and how to get it
Product Description:
Remote support is a service available to Ohioans with developmental disabilities. It uses technology to provide direct support from a remote location. Across the U.S., there is a difficulty hiring and retaining direct support professionals. Remote support may be a part of the solution, creating an opportunity for the available direct support to work with individuals who require the physical presence of a caregiver while also promoting independence for those who do not. The presentation discusses technology, including remote support, that may promote independence today and in the future.
