Product Description:

The goal of the research project was to gain a deeper understanding of what individuals with IDD, families, and direct-service providers experience during the process of future planning. Study objectives included: a) identify the role of direct service professionals in future planning and interactions with families, b) explore family caregiver experiences and emotions, c) identify factors that influence future planning over time, d) explore the experiences and interactions with systems. Methods included online survey (56 service providers and 110 family members) and interviews with 19 individuals with disabilities and 43 family caregivers.
