Product Description:

Planning for the future involves difficult but necessary conversations among persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families, and support networks. This research project examined the planning process, interactions among systems, and quality of life perspectives. The objectives are to: a) highlight research findings on future planning, b) examine challenges and successes individuals with IDD and families experience during life transitions, and c) identify strategies to support individuals with disabilities, family, and DSPs during future planning.
