Product Description:

This presentation included a history of self-advocacy and a presentation in which the RFK UCEDD supported four self-advocates in a panel presentation of their experinces as advocates for people with IDD. The four self-advocates participated in a dialogue in which they discussed their advocacy efforts and the impact it has had on their lives. Issues of stigma, stereotypes and the need to focus on strengths and abilities were addressed.
