Product Description:

The Oklahoma UCEDD/CLL participated in the five-state Nutrition is for Everyone project, a grant coordinated through AUCD and funded through the Walmart Foundation, to develop peer-led healthy living and nutrition trainings for people with disabilities and Spanish-speaking families of children with developmental disabilities. NIFE Oklahoma provided a three-pronged approach to delivering nutrition education to people with disabilities, their families, their caregivers, and their friends: recipe collection and distribution; curriculum development and training; and traditional and online media outreach. A summary factsheet was created to show the progress of the five states involved in NIFE and disseminated at the Annual AUCD meeting in Washington DC.
