Product Description:

Jumpstart: Early Success with Autism is a training grant designed to support New Hampshire families and providers. The grant activities involve teaching families and providers how to develop comprehensive and individualzed supports for children, families and caregivers. In this model, support to the child and family is intended to be short term and intensive - as many as 12-15 hours per week. The goals are to eliminate challenging behaviors, support the child to communicate more conventionally and prepare caregivers to support their children in natural settings. Key points of this model are: ~Family guided assessment ~ Functional assessment of challenging behavior ~ Person centered planning ~ Family guided intervention development ~ Comprehensive, individualized support plan ~ Family support innatural environments ~ Longitudinal support and evaluation.
