Sensory processing involves the ability to make sense of sensations which enables us to generate appropriate responses. Disorders of sensory processing can have adverse effects on development. The impact of a disordered system can be so prevalent that the individual demonstrates difficulties in all aspects of their life. This might include problems with social skills, behavior, daily self-care tasks, and academics.
