"Su Bebe y el Sindrome de Down" was designed as a portal for parents to learning about Down syndrome, and as a stimulus for physician-family discussions at the child's medical home. It features brief paragraphs and short bulleted lists. Referrals to print and electronic resources, including the American Academy of Pediatrics website and the websites of national Down syndrome advocacy organizations are listed. There is additional space for adding contacts to local parent support groups is provided. The information provided can serve as "talking points" for a discussion in the office, and it can also help parents both to direct their own learning and to connect with other parents.
