This article was one of several articles in a home study CEU insert entitled "Issues in Disability and Chronic Illness Across the Lifespan". The focus was on children and issues for families as they deal with issues that confront individuals with disabilities and/or special health care needs. The issues included diverse cultures, use of an ecological perspectie, etiology of disability or special healthy care need, grief and loss, and developmental stages of both the child and family and other considerations.
