LEND Poster: IQ as Eligibility Criterion for IDD Services (AUCD 2023 Conference)
Product Description:
There exists a significant discrepancy in the way intelligence quotient is used across the country for home and community-based service eligibility determinations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Currently, there are nine states where a one-point difference in IQ score can mean the difference between being afforded lifelong access to necessary support or not. This poster illuminates the inequity in this system and provides recommendations to ameliorate it.
