In our preliminary study, we explored the effectiveness of a peer-mediated program, Promoting Early Engagement, Relationships, and Socialization, aimed at aiding socially isolated preschoolers. We evaluated the program's potential to enhance these children's social and linguistic experiences, as well as its suitability for the preschool environment. The results support further research into storybook-based peer-mediated interventions to boost social and linguistic development.
