This videotape, created and produced by the Partnership to Address Violence through Education (PAVE) at the University of Minnesota, demonstrates a process for teachers of young children that will aid in developing and practicing the skills for effectively communicating through conflict.
PAVE developed an innovative initiative that prepares early childhood professionals to deal with conflict in the classrooms, with parents and with fellow teachers. The guiding principle of PAVE is that early childhood educators should be well-trained in conflict resolution and problem solving and that they in turn give children opportunities to practice their own communication skills.
