The Missouri Department of Social Services Family Support Division (FSD) was awarded a Head Start Innovation and Improvement grant in the priority area of Strengthening Families and Fatherhood. FSD contracted with the University of Missouri-Kansas City Institute for Human Development (UMKC-IHD) to support this work. The name Fathers for Life was selected as the informal name for this project. This evaluation report consists of the following components: (1) a process evaluation documenting the activities that occurred during Year 1 and (2) an outcome evaluation documenting community needs and resources in the Tier 1 sites and participants? evaluations of the training events. Project activities and available outcome data in these key areas are described: collaboration, training, intervention, evaluation, replication, sustainability, dissemination, and reporting.
