This Early Childhood Self-Assesment is based on the Center on the Social Emotional Foundations of Early Learning (CSEFEL) Teaching Pyramid. CSEFEL is a national resource center funded by the office of Head Start and the Child Care Bureau for disseminating research and evidence-based practices to early childhood programs across the country.
The teaching Pyramid model supports social emotional competence ininfants and young children. (CSEFEL has developed extensive, user-friendly training materials, videos, and print resources which are available directly from their Web site to help early care, health and educationproviders implement this model.
