Product Description:
Proposal Description: Child Welfare Services at WIHD aims to further the goals of safety, permanency, and well-being for children and families in the child welfare system. The Parent-Child Program and the EFC Aftercare Program, which provide services to support families during and after foster care placement, respectively, were evaluated. Feedback was positive.
Objectives: Two programs in the Child Welfare Services Department at WIHD were evaluated. The Parent-Child Program supports parents seeking to reunify with their children who are in foster care. The EFC Aftercare Program guides, supports, and empowers families after foster care placement to prevent re-entry. Parent satisfaction with these two programs was measured to assess perceived improvement of family functioning, assess improvement in parenting and other skills, and to inform program development.
