Community ambulating children with cerebral palsy continue to have limitations in their functional mobility and access as compared to their typically developing peers. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in step length (SL) and step width (SW) in children with cerebral palsy (CP) and what contribution these gait parameters make to functional mobility as measured by the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) in children with CP.
