The Effect of Compound Caregiving in Older Parental Caregivers.
Product Description:
With increasing age there is greater likelihood of family caregivers also undertaking caregiving duties to others (i.e. compound caregiver). This study investigated the frequency, and quality of life outcomes differences of compound versus non-compound caregivers. The results indicate that compound caregiving is commonplace. While no significant differences in wellbeing outcomes were detected between the groups, compound caregivers were more likely to want to place their adult child with I/DD into alternative residential care.
