This report presents the findings from an ongoing examination of several Early Numeracy Indicators that were developed by Lembke and Foegen (2005). A new measure (Mixed Numeracy) was developed for use during the current academic year (2007-2008). The Mixed Numeracy measure combines items from each of the three earlier measures: Number Identification, Quantity Discrimination, and Missing Number. The Early Numeracy Indicators were used as benchmarking tools in the fall, winter, and spring in a small Midwestern school district.
