Product Description:
Over the past two to three decades there has been a proliferation of Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) treatment regimens. While the best known, and the best validated, BSM treatments are those that serve as the core interventions for Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia (i.e., CBT-I: Stimulus Control, Sleep Restriction, and Sleep Hygiene), there are literally dozens of new and established non-pharmacologic intervention for virtually all of the major sleep disorders. One of the major obstacles to the widespread dissemination and implementation of these interventions is that the details of the protocols themselves tend to be known, and researched by, only behavioral sleep experts. Thus, the major impetus for this textbook was to bring together in one text all of the major BSM interventions and to provide this information in the most straightforward manner possible.
