The literature regarding the validity of FBA methods is varied. Current reviews have identified need for the evaluation of FBA methodology to validate the procedures used, specifically the use of indirect descriptive assessment methods. While preliminary evaluations suggested support of the validity and utility, additional research is needed. The present study evaluated the validity of the Functional Assessment Interview Record Series and extends the FBA research to establish the validity of indirect descriptive assessment measures.
