This report examines publicly-reported participation and performance data for all states with an Alternate Assessment based on Modified Achievement Standards (AA-MAS) for school years 2006-07 through 2009-10, whether or not a state had received approval to use the results for Title I accountability calculations. Most states implementing these assessments reported some participation and performance data publicly, though not in the same way across states.
