Product Description:

Objectives: This study investigates barriers to accessing services for children under 3 presenting with language delays and behavioral difficulties, including language barriers for Spanish-speaking families. Conclusions: Parents of young children face barriers when accessing services including basic access (e.g., reaching a live person; response in their home language), obtaining appropriate appointment or referral, and interpersonal phone responses, which limit screening effectiveness.
