Peer review draft To our knowledge, this is the first report addressing serum ghrelin levels in adult patients with CVS. In our study mean fasting serum ghrelin levels in adult CVS patients were significantly elevated compared to the range for the normal subjects. These elevated serum ghrelin levels in adult CVS suggest a potential role for the serum ghrelin levels in explaining the finding of the rapid GE observed in the majority of CVS patients when in the remission state.
