This conference presentation presented the preliminary results of a demonstration project to improve transition services for youth with autism spectrum disorders. 47 participants were randomized into a year 1 group, who received the intervention in year 1, and a year 2 group, with data collected at enrollment and at the end of year 1. The year 1 group improved significantly in self-determination, vocational decision-making, and expectations for the future, with no significant improvement seen in the year 2 group during year 1.
