Flyer for training event on May 24, 2011 presented by Gerard Kerins, MD, FACP from the Hospital of St. Raphael and Anne Broadhurst and Chris Gaynor from the Office of Protection and Advocacy. Sponsored by the A. J. Pappanikou Center on Disabilities and The Kennedy Center. This workshop will focus on challenges experienced by people with developmental disabilities in hospitals and nursing home settings. Discussion will explore advocacy strategies to improve services and outcomes, and alternatives to nursing home placements.
