Extending the Bedtime Pass to a Worry Pass: A Case Study
Product Description:
The present case study investigates the extension of a bedtime pass to a worry pass. The participant was an 8-year-old female referred to a behavioral health outreach clinic located within her pediatrician?s office by her pediatrician for concerns with anxiety and panic attacks. Panic attacks were defined as crying, stomach aches, difficulty breathing, and shaking. Anxiety was defined as the participant asking questions repeatedly. The treatment package consisted of providing a limited number of bedtime passes that the participant was allowed to use as worry passes each night. The participant earned a reward if she had any remaining worry passes by the next morning. Reductions in the number of questions asked were evident with the implementation of the treatment package. Directions for future research will be discussed.
