These modules compliment the the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care's Core Competencies. The modules provide early childhood practitioners with information on the core competencies across 8 areas and provide examples of what knowledge and skill are expected to be mastered as individuals develop skills and knowledge and advance their role and responsibilities within the field. The materials may be used as a tool for self-study by practitioners or as training tool by directors or others as part of trainings that occur in the field.
