This study examined mental, social, and physical well-being using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's) Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey
System (BRFSS) data for demographic subgroups, those with chronic health conditions or disabilities, and by behavioral risk factors. Mental, social, and physical well-being levels were generally high in this sample. Well-being differed by demographic characteristics such as marital status, health behaviors, chronic conditions and disability status, with the most consistent wellbeing disparities being experienced by those who reported a disability or were
smokers.
